Bellway Homes Ltd is an award-winning housebuilder with a strong local reputation and a rich history that spans all the way back to 1946. With over 3,000 employees and developments in over 200 locations around the UK, it is one of the most prominent names in its field and was even crowned ‘Large housebuilder of the year’ at The Housebuilder Awards 2023. Needless to say, Bellway is an enviable client with which to create a connection.
The project
The leading property developer required a skilled team to manage and maintain their large, modern home office in Woolsington, Newcastle upon Tyne. Being such a large business, Bellway is responsible for the safety and comfort for a huge number of employees and visitors, therefore it is essential that their HQ is well-maintained and that any issues are addressed quickly and without disruption. So, the housebuilder contacted our team for support.
Our approach
We tackled this project with our signature all-encompassing approach, dedicating ourselves to an extensive planned preventative maintenance schedule. This included looking after their HVAC systems, electrical installations, and mechanical building components. We also pledged ourselves to support Bellway with reactive maintenance in order to handle any unexpected issues or ad hoc jobs with speed and professionalism. This could include anything from moving furniture to cleaning and repairs – no task is too simple for our team.
The results
Managing both PPM and reactive maintenance in-house has taken a considerable amount of pressure off of Bellway’s own Maintenance Manager, streamlining their role and allowing them to focus completely on their core responsibilities. We continue to have an excellent working relationship with Bellway and expect this to continue for many years to come.
